Derrick & Sonya are Licensed Clinical Social Workers and have a private practice in Georgia. They have practiced together for 26 years and are considered experts in their field, conducting individual, pre-marriage, marriage, and family counseling. They specialize in Psychodynamic Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Using a Christian-based approach to their counseling they are uniquely transparent, and therapeutic while providing healing for individuals, couples, and families.

  • Do I have to be engaged to go through the course? potential student may have before purchase.

    No, you don't have to be engaged. However, you should be at the stage in your relationship that you are seriously contemplating marriage to go through the course.

  • After completion of the course can we obtain a certifcate?

    Yes, upon completion, you'll receive a certificate verifying that you completed premarital education, and you can submit it to probate court for verification of completion.

  • Is there a time frame for us to complete the course?

    There is no maximum time frame to complete the course; however, this course is designed for 11 sessions. Most states require a minimum of 6 weeks of premarital education by a licensed professional counselor, social worker, marriage and family therapist, a psychiatrist licensed as a physician, a licensed psychologist, or an active clergy member. The minimum time frame to complete the course is 6 weeks. We will not provide a certificate of completion if you have completed the course before the required 6 weeks. For example, you can not complete the course in 4 weeks and receive a certificate of completion.

  • Will I receive any other material for the course?

    Yes, in addition to the videos, which are downloadable, assessments, activity material, and accessibility to the therapist in real-time. Within 7 days of purchasing the course, you will receive a workbook. The workbook is to be used in conjunction with your online course.

  • How much is it for the course?

    The cost is $640.00 for the course. An in-office or virtual pre-marriage counseling would cost $125.00 per session. That would be a total cost of over $1,375 for an 11-week pre-marriage course. You will receive all the assessments, course content, interactive material, video training content, and accessibility to the therapist with this hybrid course. You can pay half ($320.00) to start the course and the other half ($320.00) 30 days later.
